Back to School 2006 (Metro)
It is time to pull up those socks or at least put some on. Summer is coming to a close and school doors are opening. The thought of getting students and parents back into a routine might seem a little ridged at first. But once they get back into the swing of things, they will forget completely about the warm summer nights on the patio. Let’s face it people, the party is over.
Here is the wake up call. School is starting and you are not ready.
What do you need to do to be organized for the start of school?
- Pick out a great outfit for first day.
- Purchase your supplies.
- Look over documentation for entrance.
- Charge your Ipod.
- Review old notes as a refresher.
- Reacquaint with friends.
- Figure out travel arrangements to and from school
- Change your sleeping pattern by going to bed earlier and practice waking up earlier.
Whatever plans you make, know that preparation will play a big part in your ultimate success. When you are organized you will have a feeling of control and confidence. Organization is very powerful it will allow you to focus on the task at hand, quicker and more efficiently.
Parents, students and teachers, before school begins take a quiet moment and write a list of all the things you would like to improve on, to change, to experience and any goals you want to achieve. This list can be your secret blue print to your success this year.
Last bit of advice before I send you all off to school,
- Treat others, as you would like yourself to be treated.
- Take 10 minutes at the beginning and end of the each day to visualize your successes and accomplishments.
- Give yourself plenty of extra time in the morning to get ready.
Have the best school year, make everyday count and stay organized.
