Ten ways an organized lifestyle can improve everyday life. (Metro)
A disorganized lifestyle can affect people in many negative ways just as an organized lifestyle can affect people in many positive ways. Contrary to what some might think, if you are disorganized it doesn’t mean you are lazy. People don’t wake up one morning and decide to be disorganized or cluttered. Sometimes life is going so fast and we need a time out to catch up and regroup. Getting control of our personal space can be challenging but with desire, motivation and determination anything is possible. So once you catch your breath, don’t be overly ambitious, start off slowly by taking baby steps. I have prepared a list of some simple tasks to make life run a little smoother.
Ten ways an organized lifestyle can improve everyday life.
- Wake up 10 minutes earlier and stop rushing in the morning.
- Remove all clothing in your closets that does not fit or you just don’t like. You will minimize your dressing time by being able to choose appropriate clothing quickly.
- Did you know it is a choice to answer the phone? So remember when you are in the middle of a task, don’t interrupt yourself. They will leave a message anyway.
- Having everything in its place will save you time and money. Stop spending your precious time and money looking or shopping for things that you have buried somewhere at home.
- Process your banking online. Pay bills, transfer funds and have an instant record in minutes.
- Attach a shopping list on the fridge and remember to bring it when shopping.
- Make a photocopy of credit cards, driver license, health card, bankcard, passport, birth certificate and S.I.N. card. File away in a safe place in case of an emergency.
- Clean out your purse or wallet whenever you have a lull of 5 minutes.
- Pull out your winter boots, coats, gloves, & hats before the first snowfall.
- Keep a nice storage box in the bathroom with your reading file. Might as well multitask while on the Lou.
